Rentals

We have rented basses for every purpose, including  MTV concert tapings, to professional bassists who are visiting New York  for performances, to students and professionals visiting New York and in  need of a bass for practicing, taking lessons on and going to sessions  and gigs.

Bass Garden Rental Bass - We have several basses in our rental fleet, all are sturdy 3/4 laminated instruments with bridge adjusters to have the string height to your liking.   Professionally set up and easy to play with D'Addarrio Helicore or similar  strings.  Comes with padded cover, and upon request, bow (French or  German), Realist pick-up, and transport wheel or Bass Buggy.  

Note - we also have a small bass amp, and professional quality drums and a PA system available for rent.  Please inquiry for details.

Up to one week - $125

Two weeks to one month - $150-$180

More than one month - Please inquire

Note:  We are flexible with these rates and timing.

Rental fees may be paid in cash, credit card, Pay Pal or via Zelle transfer.

Getting your rental bass for customers who do not have a vehicle: We are beyond the NYC subway, however, in MOST cases, you can take the Metro North commuter train (Hudson line to Greystone) and we will meet you there. There is no extra charge for this service. Other options are meeting at the end of the number 1 subway line (Van Cortlandt Pk/242nd St.). This service is $25 each way. Also, delivery to the upper west side of Manhattan above 72nd Street, $40 each way. Delivery to elsewhere in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens or New Jersey starts at $50 each way and depends on exact location.

We also require a security deposit of $1,500, see details below.

 US DOMESTIC:  Deposits may  be made in cash or via Zelle transfer.  Deposits must be in place before bass is released to renter,  and will be promptly returned upon return of instrument.  If bass is being delivered, deposit must be in place before delivery (unless deposit is being made in cash).  All deposits  will be returned in same form as placed.     

INTERNATIONAL:  Customers from outside the US can make deposits in cash (USD or equivalent foreign currency).  Deposits must be in place before bass is released to renter,  and will be promptly returned upon return of instrument.  If bass is being delivered, deposit must be in place before delivery (unless deposit is being made in cash).  All deposits  will be returned in same form as placed.     

ALTERNATE DEPOSIT OPTIONS:  Deposits may be  made via credit card, however, be advised that there is a 5% processing fee assessed to the Bass Garden which the credit card processor no longer refunds and  will NOT be refunded. by the Bass Garden. This could be up to $75USD!

 In the event of damage,  the BassGarden reserves the right to withhold a portion of the deposit  until an estimate of the damage has been obtained.

If you are using a bow, please bring your rosin.
